Matthews Calorie Counter inspired me to get the BodyBugg, and I knew I was ready to use it properly.

I wear the Bodybugg 24 hours a day.
It calculates today's, yesterday's, and target goal, calories burned, steps, and activity duration. It has a TRIP button to reset and calculate the calories burned for a specific range of time or activity calculated in real time (how many calories do I burn when doing... etc)

It resets count at midnight, so from midnight to midnight, I know how many calories have been burned,
and I know what my caloric intake limits are during my mealtimes.
After I finish a meal or snack, I reset my TRIP button, and watch the calories burn the meal away.
It also shows how many calories I burn per minute, and increases or decreases in real time by activity level.

And, no a pedometer and the Bodybugg are not the same. A pedometer may state it can calculate calories burned but it's entire technology is made to calculate steps and only estimates calories. I have an expensive pedometer, it did not calculate my steps accurately, it just counted on and on even when I was seated for long periods of time, while the Bodybugg has calculated my steps to the T. The BB is very realistic, no fake calculations while I'm sleeping or sitting!
According to the Bodybugg, they are the first and only to create the technology to accurately read your bodies heat/temperature/cals burned.

Its science! I know exactly what my deficit is, and then I wake up, weigh in, and voila!
I don't expect a surprise, I know exactly what is going to happen once I've collected a 3500 calorie deficit, as stated on MCC!

Matthews Calorie Counter is much more advanced, easy to use, and flexible than The MyApex/BodyBugg's calorie/activity planner/log/calculator.
The BB site, leaves you wanting,
The MCC leaves you motivated and set to go!

For me, using Matthews Calorie Counter with the Bodybugg together, is the ideal plan!

You can expect me to bring dynamic before and after shots to MCC in the mid future!

Whew, it feels good! I'm down 6 lbs since joining on March 15th!

What a great write up, Thank You Kira!

I have wanted to get a body bug for a while now, just a matter of money and will power.

Speaking of MCC ; ), I was talking to my wife about that very subject.

As the site gets more popular, we need an easy way for people to reference the site internally and externally, instead always typing out “Matthews Calorie Counter”.

“MCC” would be a great acronym, if it wasn’t already taken. There is actually another site out there called “my calorie counter” that uses MCC as a quick reference to that site.

When I first built this site, I had no clue. But it is what it is. I was thinking of something like “MACC”, that or change the name of the site to something shorter and simpler.

So if any of you have any ideas, I would love to hear them!
